A story of A living Martyrs - Talha ibn Ubaidullah
Telling the story of a living martyr. Who had an unprecedented record of valor in the Battle of Ohud. He is a fortunate companion who got the good news of paradise on earth. His name is Hazrat Talha Ibn Ubaidullah RA. Talha ra in Ohud battle. For its unparalleled record of valor and bravery, the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, said: 'If anyone wishes to see a martyr walking the earth, let him see Talha ibn Ubaidullah.'
He had the good fortune to come under the shadow of Islam at the age of 15 at the beginning of Islam. After accepting Islam, he also migrated to Madinah along with other Muslims in 622 AD after enduring severe torture for 13 years in Makkah with infinite patience.
Battle of Uhud with the pagans of Mecca in the 3rd year of Hijri. Talha Ra in this battle. With a sword in one hand and rain in the other, he launched a fierce attack on the infidels.
At one stage of the war, when the Muslim forces faced a great disaster, the few soldiers who formed resistance around the Messenger of God, Talha RA. One of them.
In this war, the Prophet was injured and his tooth was martyred. Talha Ra at that time. Rushed and carried the wounded Prophet (PBUH) on his shoulder to a place on the mountain. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) continued to resist the attacks of the infidels. In the protection of the Messenger of Allah, he allowed his chest to be exposed to the arrows thrown by the infidels.
When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised his head a little to see the situation of the battlefield from within the security fence, Talha RA. Said - 'O Messenger of Allah! May my parents sacrifice for you! You don't peek, you don't look up. May the arrows of the unbelievers hit your sacred body. My chest is dedicated to your chest.' (Bukhari)
Meanwhile Abu Bakr RA from the battlefield. And Abu Ubaidah RA. When they came forward to serve the Messenger of God, the Messenger of God said to them, 'Leave me, see your friend Talha...'
Abu Bakr RA. Said, 'We look and see, Talha Ra. Lying unconscious in a bloody pit. One of his hands is almost severed from his body and more than 70 arrows showered all over his body!'
Qays Ibn Abu Hayem RA. Said, "I saw that Talha's hand was paralyzed and numb due to the injury. He saved the Prophet with this hand." (Bukhari, 4/3760)
Talha Ra fought what a fierce battle! Abu Bakr RA. When the topic of Ohud war came up, he used to say, "All of that day is Talhar!" Omar Ra. So Talha called RA "Saheb Ohud" (Ohud Wala). It was in this battle that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was impressed by the extraordinary role of Hazrat Talha and gave him good news in Paradise.
What a wonderful love Talha showed for the Prophet ﷺ. What emotional love! The example of his heroism and bravery in Ohud war is an extraordinary inspiration for us!
